Make-A-Wish Foundation

Iris

Thanks to the generous support of the H.T. Hayashi Foundation, life-changing wishes are granted for children like Iris, a bubbly 8-year-old from Kapaa. She has faced serious health challenges since being diagnosed with a digestive disorder at 2 years old, even losing the ability to walk for over six months. Despite these struggles, she found joy and strength through ballet, which her parents first enrolled her in as a form of physical therapy. Iris wished to have a dance studio at home to pursue her passion. Thanks to the H.T. Hayashi Foundation, Iris’ wish came true, giving her a space that inspires hope, healing, and endless happiness. “Thank you so much,” Iris said when seeing her dance studio for the first time. “You’re going to change my life.”
